An Hawaiian Bear

Old Fuzz Bear is a venerable old teddy bear who lives with two cats, named Pootsie and Shadow, in a cottage near the beach in Hawaii. You can say he is an Hawaiian bear, although bears are not native to Hawaii. He originally came from Korea as a gift for the lady who takes care of him. Old Fuzz Bear calls this lady with short blonde curls Ma Mère, which means "my mother" in French. She isn't his real mother but she does look after Fuzz like a mother would and takes him everywhere she goes.

Old Fuzz is fat, which is good for a bear. He is in good shape for his old age. His only ailment is his right eye, which has a cataract. He will often squint this eye.

An Old Bear Who Has Been Many Places and Has Many Friends

In his many travels, Old Fuzz has made many friends and seen interesting things. His stories tell about his adventures in these places with his friends. When Old Fuzz travels he is carried in a traveling bag, and usually rides in the overhead bin on airplanes. Here he has met a surprising number of other bears who travel in suitcases and bags!
